Great boots! Soles were a little stiff when I first put them on (when compared to tennis shoes), but after about 100 ft of walking felt amazing! The craftsmanship of the boots is the best I've seen on a shoe. Slightly higher price, but the cost is well worth the quality. You get what you pay for. The stitching is such that if it comes undone (due to overuse), you can easily restitch it. The leather is great, I love color. The leather fades, but you can get a leather conditioner and keep them looking great! The rubber used for the sole coupled with the porous design is crazy. I felt like spiderman when I was walking on most surfaces (on tarmac it feels and sounds like you're walking with an adhesive stuck to the bottom of your shoe.) Tread design on the bottom isn't overly complicated (when you walk in mud, I just take a stick and remove most of it before coming in the house in 5 or 6 strokes). I do caving and stuff so I can't wait to see how they do in damp conditions with water. Gore-tex, too! Simply amazing. I was a little worried about the size, but ECCO knows their stuff. I'm using these shoes for the rest of my life!
